Tower Lodge Motel

We had a Two Bedroom unit with bathroom, lounge and a kitchen/dining. Exactly what we wanted and was pretty much a home away from home. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and it was a nice quiet area. Location is great, close enough to town but not too close. We had a car and it was a good spot to drive from, in any direction. Amazing value for money.

Loved the spa bath. We had had a full days travel on one boat and two flights and were shattered. It was the best treat ever. So good having extra towels as in my enthusiasm I dropped one into the full bath. Lovely bed. Everything you need in the kitchen with a full oven and good sized fridge. Spotlessly clean.

A wonderful motel with lovely owners who gave us a very warm welcome to our 2 nights stop. The rooms were very clean and had everything you needed as well as a washing machine/dryer for guests. We would highly recommend this motel. We were informed about a local shuttle bus that would take us to the local hotel and restaurant and return us. This was much appreciated after a long day of driving.

The bed was comfortable, handy to everything, parking outside, spa bath.

We stayed for two nights either side of doing the Rakiura great walk on Stewart island (something every Kiwi should do). The motel is great value, very large room, huge comfy bed, great shower pressure, great selection of tv and media viewing and full kitchen. What we enjoyed the most though was the warm, friendly, down to earth southern hospitality of the hosts. On the day of our last nights booking the ferry back from stewart island was cancelled in the last minute which was going to be a disaster for us. But a quick call with James at the motel and he said he would ferry our stored luggage to the airport the next day and cancel our booking for the night free of charge. Which was a really nice offer and helped us greatly. Luckily though, we managed to organise a chartered flight and made it back for the night to a hot shower, hot meal and comfy bed . We would happily stay at tower lodge again and fully recommend it.
